| In the sheet music on hand the original recording of "An einem Winterabend" of the CD Quadro Nuevo "Tango Bitter Sweet" is written down in notes.
This sheet music is the attempt to consider as many alternatives of instrumentation as possible and therefore offers the main voice in a version for all instruments in C (e.g. flute, violin etc.) as well as a voice in B-flat for clarinet in B-flat, soprano or tenor saxophone in B-flat. Finally an E-flat voice (for alto or baritone saxophone) is enclosed. If required, the accordion voice can be replaced by the piano. In this case the piano player may read the after-striking notes of the left hand as chords. Notes marked with an "m" are to be played as minor chords. "7" stands for a seventh chord, and "dim" for a diminished chord (in each case proceeding from the given note). Of course the chord can be transposed up or down an octave or may be played at a different pitch. So it is by no means mandatory to play it all true to the notes. Feel free and encouraged to tinker your own structures and implement your own ideas! |
