The CD "Quadro Nuevo - Canzone della Strada" (FM 106-2) features this song in an adaption for clarinet, guitar and string quartet. During a live performance Quadro Nuevo plays the version at hand in the instrumentation clarinet, guitar, accordion and double bass. The main voice can also be played by any other melody instrument, therefore this edition encloses in addition to the voice in C (for flute and violin) a voice in B-flat (for clarinet, trumpet, soprano or tenor saxophone) and E-flat (for alto or baritone saxophone). If required the accordion voice can be replaced by the piano. For this case the bass voice is written down in a second system, for a performance with accordion however only the upper system counts. The guitar solo (from measure 45 to 55) is transcribed, instead a melody (as written down for the main voice) or one´s own solo may be played alternatively. |
