Flush and desperation, ambition, desire and hopelessness - the night is effective like an amp of feelings. Alex Haas and Stefan Noelle sing about these feelings, by interpreting their favourite songs. On their nightly walking-tour through the music history they meet languishing film hits, in heating glam rock, the acting horror of pop-horror stories or the intimacy of an old folk song.

UNSERE LIEBLINGE emblaze the outlines of their songs like the moonlight emerges the contours of things stronger. They are masters of reduction. One double bass, one drum and one cymbal are the complete equipment with which Haas and Noelle are vesting the moods of the night in very different grooves.

Their fantastic sightless interaction is the premise - because only who really harmonizes can abdicate a harmony-instrument like the piano or the guitar.
Influences from Jazz and World music blow through the arrangements like a nightly breeze. That shows how an undead classic like "Strangers In The Night" sounds, as if it was revived again in a Carpathian castle. And you notice: Two wonderful musicians apparently enjoy music. So the 14 selected "Nocturnes" aren't little serenades, but a very personal musical foray from dusk till dawn.
