Evelyn Huber

During her wide-reaching career she has appeared on stage with the world-renowned Klezmer clarinetist Giora Feidman and toured Europe, Africa and Latin America with dulcimer virtuoso Rudi Zapf. In 1997 she joined with jazz saxophonist Mulo Francel to create a unique harp/ saxophone duo, delighting audiences with an exciting mixture of jazzy rhythms, oriental arabesques, tango and bossa nova and the pure joy of improvisation.

The extraordinary mastery of the harp with which she became known around the world, has now been brought to the music of Quadro Nuevo, the group she joined in 2008. In 2010 and 2011, the ensemble was presented with the German Music Award in the category “Live Act of the Year”. Evelyn Huber has also been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards including the Bavarian Cultural Award and has been presented with the Jazz Award of the German Phonographic Industry a number of times.
