Julie Fellmann

Julie Fellmann … was born in Paris and grew up bilingually…

She graduated from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich with a Master of Arts in German philology.

She worked for different TV production companies as a producer and author: for the show „Versteckte Kamera“ („Hidden Camera“) with Fritz Egner and Tommy Ohrner she tricked celebrities. For KirchGruppe she established a new children’s channel. At Monaco Film she was responsible for the development of storylines for the popular German crime series „Ein Fall für zwei“ and produced movies like „Riekes Liebe“ (with Christoph Waltz and Axel Milberg), which was awarded the German Film Prize in 2002.

After the birth of her second child she decided to use her time differently and take a leap of faith into self-employment.

She started as a dramatic advisor for the TV show „Alles außer Sex“ (on the German channel Pro7) and now predominantly writes scripts for various TV series (on channels like Sat.1, BR and ZDF).

In 2009 her first audiobook „Der König hat gelacht“ was published, which was awarded the Auditorix Hörbuchsiegel at the 2010 Frankfurt Book Fair and the Auditorix Audience Prize at the 2011 Leipzig Book Fair.

In the fall of 2012 the time had finally come: her first novel, the crime story „Nacht der Einsamen“, was simultaneously published as a book and an audiobook. A sequel featuring the same Munich police inspector Garcia is already in the works…
