\"\"<\/a>Caf\u00e9 del Mundo\u2019s fifth studio album \u201cFamous Tracks\u201d expresses the band\u2019s colourful diversity; which is no surprise considering this album was produced at the \u201cLove & Peace Studio\u201d in Abbey Road, London, just like in the 1960s.<\/p>\n

In spring 2019, Germany\u2019s hottest guitarists, Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian (known as Caf\u00e9 del Mundo) played their first UK club tour and immediately touched the hearts of British music lovers. They performed in Sheffield, birth place of many famous pop and rock legends, Leeds, as well as Bristol and Cambridge and the legendary Ronnie Scott\u2019s Jazz Club, London.<\/p>\n

On day eight of their tour, filled with excitement, Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian sat in front of the microphones at Abbey Road Studios, a magic place which hides the aura of great artists, including Yehudi Menuhin and The Beatles, in every brick of its walls. What emerged is a recording of famous great artists such as Manuel DeFalla, Chick Corea, Enrique Granadas, Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucia \u2013 a recording with the power of a live concert, with a world class sound boasting modern technical possibilities (High Resolution, 96khz).<\/p>\n

As a matter of course, Caf\u00e9 del Mundo merge their love for these musical monuments with own sounds and compositions. Two virtuoso individuals on their greatest journey to date.<\/p>\n

About Caf\u00e9 del Mundo:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jan Pascal<\/strong>, born in 1975, comes from a family of musicians. He received his first guitar as a present from his grandfather in Spain, and his first lesson from an uncle. He grew up at his Silesian grandmother\u2019s, amongst church musicians, sopranos and organists, and later in the prestigious Benedictine monastery boarding school, M\u00fcnsterschwarzach, Germany, where he received lessons in piano. After lessons in singing and classical guitar in Heidelberg, Germany, he started his own recording studio in 1996. Jan attended master classes in Flamenco guitar with Rafael Cortes and Mariano Mart\u00edn.<\/p>\n

Alexander Kilian<\/strong>, born in 1987, is regarded as a child prodigy at the guitar. He received his multicultural musical education from Zaza Miminoshvili. At the age of 15, Alexander won his first international contest with the piece \u201cGuajiras de Lucia\u201d by Paco de Lucia, followed by numerous master classes and concert invitations to Israel, Russia, Georgia, Spain and Italy. In 2011, he received the art diploma for jazz guitar.<\/p>\n

In 2007, Jan and Alexander met at a Flamenco Guitar workshop, and they immediately clicked. Since then, they\u2019ve composed several joint albums; \u201eNuevo Cuarteto\u201c (2008), \u201eCaf\u00e9 del Mundo (2012), \u201eLa Perla\u201c (2014), as well as a live recording, \u201eIn Passion\u201c (2015). In 2015, \u201cDance of Joy\u201d was released, a remake of their first joint compositions. Their latest album \u201cBeloved Europa\u201d, released in 2018, is a diverse compilation filled with compassion, and delivered with genuine intent.<\/p>\n

The band name was created following a concert critic\u2019s comment in that during the concert he had felt being in the legendary \u201cCaf\u00e9 Cantante\u201d. This lead to the band name \u201cCaf\u00e9 del Mundo\u201d. cafedelmundo.de<\/a><\/p>\n
