{"id":5533,"date":"2020-07-08T15:27:08","date_gmt":"2020-07-08T13:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glm.de\/en\/?p=5533"},"modified":"2020-07-08T15:27:08","modified_gmt":"2020-07-08T13:27:08","slug":"today-another-insight-into-quadro-nuevo-secret-recordings-and-another-work-from-the-series-contemplum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glm.de\/en\/today-another-insight-into-quadro-nuevo-secret-recordings-and-another-work-from-the-series-contemplum\/","title":{"rendered":"TODAY ANOTHER INSIGHT INTO QUADRO NUEVO &#8211; SECRET RECORDINGS AND ANOTHER WORK FROM THE SERIES CONTEMPLUM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/smarturl.it\/qnSusannata\"><strong>QUADRO NUEVO \u2013 SECRET RECORDINGS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/smarturl.it\/qnSusannata\">SUSANNATA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Susannata was one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mulo.francel\">Mulo Francel<\/a>&#8216;s first compositions from the early 90s.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.glm.de\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/FM227-QN-Earbook-Cover320x320-Einzeltitel.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5534 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glm.de\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/FM227-QN-Earbook-Cover320x320-Einzeltitel-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is the first piece he developed not on guitar or piano as usual, but on the soprano saxophone during an extended journey through Latin America, taking inspiration from Afro-Cuban music and playing it in the style of a fast 6\/8 groove.\u00a0Later it was played live by the band Mind Games for many evenings and recorded at concerts with the sparkling Brazilian trumpeter Claudio Roditi (see the album\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/smarturl.it\/mindgamesroditi\">Mind Games &amp; Claudio Roditi:\u00a0<em>Live<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The title of the song refers to a dedication to the pianist <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/susi.weiss.5\">Susi Weiss<\/a><\/strong>, with whom Mulo Francel on saxophone, Quadro Nuevo colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DD-Lowka-895115413918697\">D.D. Lowka<\/a> on bass and many other regiolnal musicians organized a Jazz Jam Session every Sunday in the tranquil Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim. Apart from all the consequences, there was one thing above all: being thrown back on the essentials, an encounter with oneself. Free from any distraction. Actually something that many of us have always wished for. In the strictest phase of the lockdown, <a href=\"https:\/\/smarturl.it\/contemplumStayAway\">Stay Away And Play\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0was created. In a meditative moment in the face of a completely empty diary and without contact with the outside world.
