Timofey Sattarov

Timofey Sattarov (accordionist, composer) was born in 1984 in the Siberian city of Tyumen in Russia. He graduated from the HfM “Hanns Eisler” Berlin in 2009 with a degree in accordion and became a prize-winner in several accordion competitions during his career. From 2011 to 2015 he was sponsored as a scholarship holder by the Jehudi Menuhin Live Musik Now association.

Since beginning his studies, he has worked with various orchestras, theatres and opera houses, including the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Semperoper Dresden, Neuköllner Oper, Berliner Ensemble, Munich State Opera, Baletto Civile Italy Parma.

Since his youth, Timofey Sattarov has been dedicated to improving the reputation of the accordion in the classical scene. In 2011, together with Andrey Lakisov and Bernd Gesell, he founded the trio Laccasax, which is dedicated to the genre of chamber world music and for which he himself arranges and composes numerous pieces. Together the band has released 2 albums “Passepartout” and “In Music At Home” on the label GLM Music. The release of his solo album “Hyperbole” on the same label has been announced for 2022.

From the winter semester 2020 Timofey Sattarov is engaged as a lecturer in the subject accordion at the BTU Cottbus (Germany).
