Lively lightness meets gentle longing: After “Sunlit” and “Movimento”, awarded the German Jazz Prize 2023, the Cologne-based vocal trio LUAH around Elsa Johanna Mohr is now releasing its third album: With “Equilibrio” (GLM Music) nthe three musicians embark on a loving search for equilibrium and balance carefully balancing a wide variety of styles and moods. process. This is clearly evident in the music: it’s not just the voices that blend together on
voices blend together particularly effortlessly on “Equilibrio”, but also the wide variety of
colors, instrumentation variations and atmospheres. There is a rich eclecticism that combines the unusual and always provides musical surprises.
