The first live-album since the foundation of the band in the year of 1996. Highly inspired world music right off the stage. Sounds from the old Italy and Portugal, Tango, Waltz, Mocca-Flair and magnetic moments.
Despite the success of their studio albums, which have been awarded the German Jazz award multiple times and the European Impala, the musicians from Quadro Nuevo feel home when they are on stage. Consequently they have been awarded the ECHO Jazz as best live act of the year in 2010 and 2011.
Quadro Nuevo has been touring since 1996 and has played well over 2700 concerts in all parts of the world, including: Sydney, Montreal, Ottawa, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, New York, New Orleans, Mexico City, Peking, Seoul, Singapore, Tunis, Tel Aviv. From small Bavaria over the Alps to Porto, from Denmark to Ukraine, everywhere in Europe.
The current live-album represents 14 of the band’s favorite songs, recorded live in the spring time of 2011 at the Lustspielhaus with one of the best-tempered audiences Munich has to offer.
In addition to the 13 CDs the group has released so far, a 220 page autobiographic road book titled “Grand Voyage” is also available, as well as the DVD with the same title.
